Darts Odds & Betting
Darts may not come to mind when you think about popular sports, but it’s a big business across Europe; top darts players earn around $2 million a year (approximately ₹150,000,000).
These days, thanks to Indian darts players such as Nitin Kumar, Prakash Jiwa and Ashfaque Sayed, the sport is gaining a strong foothold in India. These players compete at a professional level across various leagues and competitions.
Three of the biggest darts tournaments include the Online Live League (also known as the Modus Online Live League), the Premier League and the PDC World Championship. The latter two competitions are run by the Professional Darts Corporation and welcome players from around the world.
These three tournaments are also covered by 10CRIC, a leading sports betting site for Indian punters. If you’re interested in checking out darts odds or want to see who the top players are, we offer darts 2021 betting across these major tournaments.
Darts 2021 Betting Odds
Darts 2021 betting odds for matches tend to fall into three categories: pre-game, outright and live odds. 10CRIC covers all of these across Online Live League games, PDC matches and the darts Premier League.
Due to how the sport is played, bets can be made on anything, from how many times 180 is scored (the highest possible amount a player can hit in one round using all three darts they have) to the overall winner.
Pre-game darts betting odds on 10CRIC cover an extensive range of options for games that are scheduled for a later date. Bets that Indian punters can place include the following:
- The winner at full time, an over/underscore (at full time), highest match checkout (final throw score), first leg 180 (who hits 180 in the first game) and much more.
- Outright darts 2021 betting odds are the most straightforward, as all you’re doing is placing a wager on who you think will be the overall winner for whichever tournament.
- Live Betting Darts odds, also called in-play odds, often fluctuate to match the game’s events. You might think that darts has fewer variables than, say, a football match, as you’re only dealing with one player versus a dartboard.
However, a dartboard is laid out so that two lower numbers flank each high number. In other words, if a high-scoring shot is missed, the penalty can be sizable (e.g. if a player misses ‘20’, they’re likely only to score 5 or 1). Therefore, even the most skilled player can occasionally miss their intended number by the smallest of margins and drastically alter the accompanying odds.
The main available odds for live darts tend to be the same as pre-game ones. However, other than the fluctuating odds, the wager types can change according to the type of competition. For example, Online Live League matches include the option of betting on a ‘9 dart finish’ (typically ending on a score of 60).
10CRIC Darts Betting App
With more and more people looking to gamble on the go, many reputable bookmakers now offer a standalone mobile app version of their site. 10CRIC is no different. The 10CRIC betting app is available for iOS and Android devices and can be downloaded directly from the parent site.
Players have a choice between scanning a QR code or clicking a handy yellow ‘download’ button; either way, the app is free to download. Once installed on your phone, tablet or another mobile device, you can use it as a darts app and bet on various tournaments.
Before you use the app, bear in mind that you’ll have to register with 10CRIC. Fortunately, signing up is free and you’ll get access to all the same welcome offers as the main site. Many of the sports promotions can be used for darts wagers, too.
The same account is used between both the parent site and our 10CRIC betting app, giving you access to all the same features. These include the same sports, darts betting options, easy-to-use bet slip and payment options.
Darts 2021 Betting Promotions
New punters joining 10CRIC, whether via the mobile app or main site, can choose an attractive welcome bonus. Once you’ve registered, you’ll get access to a whole range of decent promotions for existing players too.
The 10CRIC name may be familiar to Indian punters keen on cricket, as the site is especially known for its range of Indian Premier League cricket promotions and sponsorship. One of the best examples of this is the Boss IPL Welcome Deal. Sponsored by cricket’s Universe Boss Chris Gayle, this welcome bonus grants new players ₹2,000 in free bets if they make an initial deposit of ₹1,000.
These free bets can be used on darts events, as well as any other sport you choose. Fans of football, tennis and basketball are also in luck, as there are several offers specifically targeted to events in these sports. Many of these include getting cashback and free bets.
Although the range of darts promotions available on 10CRIC is effectively non-existent, as with many online bookies, offers change regularly. Make sure you keep an eye on the offers page for future darts promotions from 10CRIC.
However, that’s not to say some of the other existing promotions can’t be used on darts events — for example, the tennis free bets have to be earned from tennis wagers. But once you’ve got them, you can place free bets on any darts events with odds of at least 1.80.
Darts 2021
Indian punters with a taste for darts are spoiled for choice in 2021. Although 10CRIC focuses on the Online Live League, Premier League and forthcoming PDC World Championship, there are plenty of other darts events coming up that we’ll possibly offer odds on.
First up, the Premier League is on from April until May, with the playoffs happening on May 28th in the UK. Welsh player John Clayton is the current favourite to win overall, although England’s Nathan Aspinall and the Netherland’s Michael van Gerwen should give him a run for his money.
July sees the Betfred World Matchplay take place in the UK, with 32 darts players from across the world vying for a top prize of £700,000 (about ₹71,700,000). Michael van Gerwen would be worth keeping an eye on to do well in this competition, too.
Many of the world’s top darts players participate in all the major events. September’s Nordic Darts masters (moved from July) and the World Cup of Darts both feature many of the same players as other tournaments. However, the World Cup sees players team up and take on other teams in a country versus country competition that lasts four days.
Darts events in October include the BoyleSports World Grand Prix, where players compete for £450,000 in prize money (about ₹46,100,500), and the Jack's Casino World Series of Darts Finals. The letter narrows down the competition to 24 players.
In November, Indian darts fans should be able to wager on the Ladbrokes Players Championship Finals, which pits the top 64 players in the world against each other. This is then followed in December by the PDC World Championship, where the very best darts players go head-to-head to win both a substantial prize and a trophy.
Predictions for the latter few darts events are, frankly, incredibly similar. Given that many of the same players compete against each other, who’s likely to win doesn’t tend to change too much over time (unless that player happens to suffer an injury or starts to experience terrible luck).
Darts Events 2021
All of the above darts events are part of the Professional Darts Championship, but other games are available entirely separate from these (but with many of the same top players). The Online Live League, or Modus Live League, is one example.
Matches are played six days a week, with an overall winner at the end of each week. Aside from names that should be familiar to many darts fans, the Online Live League also hosts lesser-known darts players.
England’s Arron Monk is tipped to do well overall, as is popular fellow countryman Martin ‘Wolfie’ Adams. In case Indian punters are concerned, the UK has a monopoly on top-rated darts players. Nitin Kumar is still active in the sport, so we recommend checking darts events to see if he has qualified.
Darts Betting Predictions
If you’re the type of punter who loves a deep dive into statistics, 10CRIC has got you covered. Thanks to partnering up with industry experts, we offer detailed stats on a range of darts events.
These include intel on darts tips and recommended darts predictions for matches in the tournaments mentioned above and plenty of others (like the European Championship, Masters and UK Open). Let’s take a look at the three main competitions 10CRIC offer odds on.
Jonny Clayton is riding high in the Premier League with three wins and only one loss under his belt. However, Peter Wright is one to watch as he’s rapidly climbed the ranks with two draws and a single loss to his name.
The Modus Online Live League is a bit more open to interpretation regarding darts tips, given the range of player skill. However, Kevin Burness (Northern Ireland) and Dave Parletti (England) both encourage favourable odds.
Lastly, onto one of the biggest darts events in the world: the PDC World Championship. 10CRIC rate Gerwyn Price (Wales) and Gary Anderson (Scotland) highly, with Dirk van Duijvenbode (Netherlands) and Krzysztof Ratajski (Poland) as outsiders worth keeping an eye on.
